UNION CITY, Calif. – The James Logan High Colts (8-0, 4-0) wrapped up its third straight Mission Valley Athletic league football title Friday with a decisive 49-9 win over the visiting Newark Memorial Cougars in front of a rowdy crowd on Senior Night, Nov 2, 2011 in Union City, CA.
The Cougars keep the game close through the first half, but the Logan defense was too strong and the offense too fast in the second half and opened the game up. On the Logan side, Damond Beasley ran for 116 yards and four touchdowns, Warren Miles Long rushed for 113 yards with one interception, while Jeffrey Prothro threw two touchdown passes.
