At the MLK Classic, Wahied Emran’s banked basket with three seconds left lifted Deer Valley to a 55-54 win against Newark Memorial,according to Durkin.
The Wolverines (15-4), who went on an early 17-0 run to lead 19-6, actually trailed by four in the final minute. Marcus Lee scored 20 points
Jo Jo Zamora scored 22, including two free throws that put Newark Memorial (9-7) in front with 11.5 seconds left.
